GNFT

GeoNFT is an ERC-721 standard token. Each GeoNFT is based on a core smart contract and includes the following essential features:

  • Project Tag: Identifies the application through which the GeoNFT was initially minted.

  • Content Hash: Ensures the originality and integrity of the GeoNFT’s content, preventing unauthorised modifications.

  • Owner Tag: Identifies the current owner of the GeoNFT.

  • Coordinates: Provides the exact geographical location of the GeoNFT, including longitude and altitude.

Applications can allow organisations and users to create GeoNFTs with additional extensions integrated through modular micro-smart contracts. These extensions add new characteristics and functionality to GeoNFTs, allowing customisation to meet the needs of each application and its audience.

Each application in the DGES ecosystem can integrate necessary extensions by selecting them from the existing library list, detailed in the DGES documentation, without the need for programming knowledge. If an application requires a specific extension not available in the current library, its creators can develop and propose their own GeoNFT extensions, which will be added to the DGES library upon approval through the DAO vote.

Users who wish to create a GeoNFT within one of the applications must specify all parameters defined by the selected extensions for that type of GeoNFT.

This modular approach enhances adaptability and versatility, significantly expanding the potential applications of GeoNFTs across various sectors. As the ecosystem grows, the extension library will continue to expand with new extensions.
